Hi There! I’m Ronan Beckman
I am a historical fiction author with a special interest in the ‘long Regency’ and Late Georgian era. I am an American permanently living in the UK now – and loving all the history around me. I am a keen genealogist and have been greatly inspired by my wife’s fascinating ancestors to write accounts of what their lives may have been like (alas – I am descended from poor Swedish and Irish peasants. I’m sure they have great stories too, but much of their humble lives remain shrouded in mystery). My first novel was published in 2020: An Actress of Repute – available on Amazon. My latest project was to edit an updated version of rare, out-of-print book by a coal miner who became an MP and a secretary for the TUC.
